UNL Science Education Program Competencies
The University of Nebraska Science Program has several competency areas that must be met for certification. Please click on each of these and start today on the process of collecting evidence of your abilities for each item and place these artifacts in your portfolio.

These competencies are to be documented, by each student, over an 18 month period and will be assessed using the UNL Science Education Portfolio Assessment Rubric. Program completion will be determined by this rubric, plus grades and student teaching performance. (Students may also use an Alternative Portfolio Assessment Rubic, based on the National Science Education Standards, NSES.)
